Arthur (Art) Ronald Colbourne was born in Twillingate and
grew up (as far as he grew, as he always says) in Stephenville. He was educated
at St. Stephen’s High School and Memorial University, St. John’s. Art spent
thirty–five years in various aspects of municipal administration throughout the
Province. Art is a founding member and the first President of the Newfoundland
and Labrador Association of Municipal Administrators and Honourary Member of
Municipalities Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador and a Past President of
the Newfoundland and Labrador Rural Development Council. He retired from the
Provincial Government as an Assistant Deputy Minister of the Department of
Municipal Affairs and lives in St. John’s with his wife Myra. Art calls himself
an amateur artist, half-ass woodworker, story-teller, and all-around Mr. Fix-it,
and now has the distinction of calling himself an author. What’s next??
